Hey Team 25 Hill...

And all Soap Box Derby fans!  Well, the Fall Derby Tour is over now and while we had a great success in spreading both the word of “Derby” and the movie, the real gain was mine. It was a very personal journey. I have learned so much from the people I’ve met. I’ve learned about Derby, its history, and through the families and especially the kids, gained great insights into life and what the words family and community really mean.  I have seen families who struggle financially, struggle with health issues, struggle with personal demons that we all face and still, through the Derby come together for a common cause.  I’ve seen my shortcomings and will address them in the New Year because like so many out there, I too fall short of being everything I can be and doing all that I can to strengthen my family, my community and the world. 

For now however, bravo to all those involved with Soap Box Derby racing. You are an inspiration and an incredible family that I’m proud to be a part of.  On to 2012 and the wide release of 25 Hill in the spring.  Stay tuned…
